Web Development & Design Processes

Here's an overview of what you can expect when working with me. If there's anything you're unsure of or need clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss further.

Web Development Process

When contacting me for a web design related project, I will ask you a series of questions about your requirements. This helps me to prepare a proposal to confirm the deliverables, timescales and project cost.

If you are happy to proceed with your proposal, then a deposit is taken. Payments are usually due in 3 equal stage payments;

  • First stage payment: The deposit. Upon receipt, I will set up site files and prepare an example few pages of your website to discuss things like colours and structure.
  • Second stage payment: Once you are happy with the example few pages, I will proceed to create the rest of your website's pages.
  • Third / final stage payment: This is due when you are 100% happy with your website and ready for it to go live to the public.

Throughout the project you will have full access to the development link of your website, which will look something like this: http://company.designfreak.me. Don't try to add 'www' in front of it, it won't work.

A website build can take anything from 2 weeks to several months, but you'll be notified beforehand as to the estimated timescale within your proposal and you'll be duly notified of any delays.

Design Work Process

It's pretty much the same as Web Development but rather than a link to your work, I will email examples of your required artwork to discuss any changes. There are no limitations to the amount of revisions, as long as you're happy, I'm happy!

A 50% deposit is required before any work commences, and final payment required before any artwork is handed over.

Edits after completion

Depending on the length of time your edit will take, I may charge for this so please make sure you are happy with your end project before asking for finals.
